Sato Cup Martial Arts

The Premier Karate Tournament on the West Coast
International competitors from Canada, Europe and Asia.

Held on February 4, 2006 at BCIT Sports Complex, Burnaby, B.C. Canada

Sato Cup 2006

The Sato Cup 2006 was another huge success!  Despite an unexpected hectic start for reasons beyond our control (weather conditions, etc)., our people pulled together to make everything run more smoothly than we could have imagined.  With well over 500 competitors, there was tremendous atmosphere at this year’s event, with a huge crowd being entertained and energized all day. Our guests from Seikokai Portugal and Seikokai Japan had a big hand in that This year’s Sato Cup Team Championship was a definite highlight, with a record six teams vying for the Cup.  Many thanks to all the competitors, and especially those from Portugal, Japan, Oregon, Washington, Alberta and Team BC for their spirit and passion for karate! Thanks also to the tournament director, Andreas Kuntze together with Rosella Ng and all the great volunteers  who ensured that the Sato Cup Tournament is the premier karate event in Western Canada.
